Thankfully as the lockdown restrictions are lifting, I’m able to return to some outdoor PT sessions at the studio! Sadly this has brought with it the seasonal allergy demon HAYFEVER.
My symptoms range from sneezing fits, runny nose, itchy throat and ears. The irritation drives me crazy and let’s be honest, sneezing in public at the moment is jeopardous.
I’ve tried various remedies like local honey and nasal sea spray but nothing works as well as the 3 pure essential oils below.
doTERRA essential oils do not contain added fillers or harmful contaminants. They’re pure, high quality and safe to use on adults, children and pets.
Lavender essential oil can produce calming , soothing and relaxing benefits. Because of these comforting blessings, Lavender is a very versatile oil with seemingly limitless applications. It’s my favourite ‘go to’ oil for anything skin related, emotional balancing, mental health and therapeutic healing. Best of all it’s a natural antihistamine.
Lemon essential oil is renowned for it’s cleansing and invigorating abilities. Add Lemon to your water for a refreshing taste or to household cleaners for a natural way to clean counter tops and surfaces. The aroma also holds uplifing properties that help improve mood.
Peppermint essential oil has a wide range of benefits from aiding digestion, enliven the senses, freshening breath and as a natural flavouring in desserts. This essential oil is fantastic for cooling, just add a couple of drops to a spray bottle of water and store in the fridge. Great for treating sunburn or hot flushes.
For seasonal alleries I have been using all 3 oils because of their natural anti-histimine properties, in a glass rollerball with some fractionated coconut oil. I simply roll it over the back of my neck, temples, around my ears and above my lips. 5 mins later the symptoms have gone!
Whenever I experience the itch or sneezes, I roll it on. This could be 5 times a day or 10, it varies depending on the pollen count, but it works so quickly, I carry it around with me everywhere.
This combination can be used in a nasal inhaler or in a steam diffuser if you have one. If your symptoms are worse in the morning, try diffusing the oils intermittently throughout the night if your diffuser has this setting.
I have a limited number of samples available if you are a sufferer and would like to try it. Just complete the form below, adding your postal address to the message.
