Finding Your Fitness Mojo After Pregnancy

After having a baby and trying to keep a fitness routine together, I know how real the struggles can be.  The intentions of buggy walks and lunging were there each morning, but as the day progressed, it felt like I was chasing my tail with trying to keep up with nappies, feeds and sterilising bottles.

It can be extremely hard trying to hold down a fitness routine when juggling the challenges of motherhood, so when the opportunity came up to chat with Laura Warren, founder of Fitmuma I knew she would be able to offer some sound advice.

Laura is an energetic mother of 2 who has a huge passion in showing other females the value exercise has on their life.  Her aim is to get as many females into sport and exercise as possible and to keep them participating as they progress through the life stages.

Laura created Fitmuma after having her sons and wanting to stay physically fit and mentally strong for her professional sport Lacrosse.

Here we chat about fitness, mindset and the importance of taking a break from ‘Mum duties’

Fitmuma is a one stop class that provides Mums with measurements, goal setting, food help, exercise and home workout videos.  Members get help and movement every day of the week so that they can feel and be the best mum possible.

All classes help overcome the obstacles of no childcare as nannies provided in the classes and all home workouts can be done with children. Time, all workouts are short. Lack of money and motivation.

Fitmuma also runs online programmes with a focus on showing mums the ‘I can attitude.’ I can recover, exercise and eat well even thought they are busy and now not the number one focus.

They also host retreats called ‘Muma to be” and “Muma and Baby Retreats” where we provide a safe and social setting where Mums can learn, be pampered and bond.
